Each assignment is unique in it's challenges. Shooting interiors is slow, tedious work with demanding lighting requirements. Balancing color temperatures between the built in incandescent/halogen lights and the daylight ambient light augmented by either strobes or hot lights will require considerable time & testing with digital preview. Our own experience in this type of work is that we can produce between 10-15 high quality "magazine style" interior images per work day. It is unwise, from a design standpoint, to simply blast a room with strobes to evenly light everything. Carefull mixture of existing/installed light augmented with strobes/hot lights as fill is, in our opinion, essential. This can be extremely time consuming to get right.

Our expenses include digital capture fees, post processing in Adobe Photoshop, archiving CD/DVD burning, delivery. Post production fees include a flat hourly fee for the time editing and correcting digital files, etc.

We will most often prepare an estimate for initial scouting of each location, then estimate a creative fee plus expenses plus post production fee. On average, the creative fee for producing architectural/interior design photography begins at roughly $1200/day plus scouting, plus post production and delivery.

We supply images in digital form on CDs. We will usually supply high resolution files in TIFF or Photoshop format at a 'print ready' resolution of 300dpi. JPEGs, other format files and other resolutions (for web/e-mail for example) are no problem.
